An interior for smaller living areas

The Meerlehof residential care centre sits on top of the “mountain” in Lummen, surrounded by nature. The residential care centre called on the expertise of Studio M for a more eclectic design, combined with the furniture of Moments Furniture. The result of their brainstorming is the grand “Café Kaffee”, the main bistro of the new-build and the many, smaller living areas.

The residential care centre organised several meetings, inviting residents, employees and family members to join in the process for designing the new-build and its amenities. The outcome was a building which was divided into smaller living areas, each comprising 10 rooms, an own living area with a lounge, kitchen and dining corner, and a small patio.

Studio M and Moments Furniture designed and styled the spaces, in addition to sup-plying furniture for the various living rooms and the grand “Café Kaffee”. Studio M created an interior design in keeping with the idea of a small home. The various living areas all have their own identities with adapted colour schemes. The “Café Kaffee” was also furnished with different types of furniture to create a multipurpose space. A large, long table, various smaller sturdy tables and comfortable chairs, a long bench wall and a cosy lounge corner with a nice decoration scheme.
