The move to a residential care centre is not an easy one. That is why residential care centre Welvaart in Kapellen is committed to providing an environment where people feel as much at home as possible. This vision is reflected in their approach, but also in the choices they make in the furniture and materials used. Moments Furniture and Studio M assisted them in furnishing their brasserie.
To make residents' world feel larger, the residential care centre chose a different approach for the brasserie compared to the living areas. A small team of residents, staff and architects talked about what they thought was important in their environment. Based on this, Studio M worked out a basic concept with three key factors: resident seating comfort, employee ergonomics and aesthetics. Bringing the three factors together was a challenge, but the result is definitely worth it.
Residential care centre WZC Welvaart worked with Moments Furniture and Studio M to create a brasserie tailored to the residents' needs. In doing so, Studio M consulted with the architectural team. That guidance from concept to delivery was definitely an added value. The end result with different furniture, textures and materials in cosy greenery breathes the atmosphere of a brasserie, with the support and comfort the residents need.
